Meet The Directors:


Stephanie Richter

Stephanie’s involvement in pageants began in her teen years. When she was 19, Stephanie was 1st runner up in the Miss South Dakota USA Pageant.  Her interest eventually evolved into fashion at which time she opened a dress store geared toward pageant competitions. Stephanie’s connection also includes consulting and training many contestants who went on to compete at the state and national level. Stephanie lives in Sioux Falls with her husband David and her two young daughters Maria and Flora. She remains active locally in numerous pageant, cheer, dance and gymnastic functions.



Amber Garry

In 1994, Amber was crowned Miss SD Junior National Teenager. She competed in Nashville, Tennessee for the national title where she won the National Speech Award.  Amber was a trainer for the Universal Dance/Cheer Association which allowed her to combine her passion for physical fitness with her aspiration to see the youth of tomorrow succeed at a higher level. Amber is a graduate of Augustana College with a degree in Athletic Training.  She now resides in Hartford with her husband Patrick and their three children Taryn, Kolte and Kash.


Valerie Headlee

Valerie Headlee has been involved in the pageant system for many years. In 1990 Valerie was crowned Miss South Dakota USA and competed in the national Miss USA pageant. After winning the title, Valerie worked in the advertising business, initially as a model and spokesperson and then as a Marketing Director for a local clothing distributor.  She has always remained active in the pageant circuit working as a consultant and judge. She and her husband Jason live in Sioux Falls with their four sons Jacob, Hunter, Ethan and Benjamin.
